Swiss banker Pascal Najadi is taking a stance by urging all religious leaders to come forward
Pascal Najadi is an international investment banker and, as a director of the Dresdner Bank Group, London, was responsible for Central Asia, Russia, Africa, Central Europe and the Middle East. He is interested in international affairs and civic debate in Switzerland. He also produced the film “Grounding” about the bankruptcy of Swissair. He currently lives in Switzerland in retirement.
Mr. Najadi, one of the co-authors of the popular movement to re-establish Swiss neutrality through a constructive vote in a people’s referendum, took the initiative to urge religious leaders to use their influence collectively in order to end the conflict. EU-chronicle documents the initiative and the letter by Mr. Najadi here:

Dear our collective Global Religious Leaders,
I felt it prudent to write my appeal and address all our Spiritual Leaders, and of course also to those notables whom I have not included herein.
The ongoing conflict in Ukraine is a clear and present threat to world peace and has potential for the destruction of humanity by a nuclear war or accident which our political Leaders appear to speak now about as if the world would be able to walk away thereafter unscathed.
Albert Einstein once said: “I don’t know what weapons World War III will be fought with, but World War IV will be fought with sticks and stones”. How have we come to this undesirable point in the history of our world so casually is anything else but godly.
Russia’s “Military Operation” said to stop NATO’s relentless eastward expansion since 1991, has the collective West wound up by a warped rhetoric that Russia shall attack the West after Ukraine.
Their following military responses are said to win the war, but let truth be told that it is at best a downward spiral towards a point of no return to a man-made Armageddon. Our global political Leaders are clearly conflicted, and any further dependence on their capacity to walk back towards
peace is remote and will probably lead us into the dreaded “WWIII”.
Under such duress it was natural as a devout Christian to write the letter to the Pope recently, but while awaiting a response, it has increasingly dawned on me that the global community is also represented by other notable Spiritual Leaders hence this appeal in the belief that it is only through your collective prayers, and intervention calling our political
Leaders to the table at a venue in Switzerland, that goodwill may emerge to end the show of nuclear muscles being displayed right before the world stage while humanity remains in an eerily silence.
I humbly call on you all to communicate this message and begin a concerted mediation where you can all attend together with the aim of bringing an end to this deadly conflict.
Your collective appeal to the warring parties will return them to the negotiating table where honesty can prevail in discussions and fair negotiations to end the ensuing madness. Your collective words, prayer, work and the blessing of God can save us from a total annihilation.
Ephesians 6:10-18 ESV/149
“Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of his might. Put on the whole armour of God, that you may be able to stand against the schemes of the devil. For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places. Therefore, take up the whole armour of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand firm. Stand therefore, having fastened on the belt of truth, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness,”
Humanity has survived two world wars in a relatively short space of time and we must now unite to prevent a third world war while we still can bear in mind the reality that such a war if it were to happen, those who may survive would be set back to the stone age or worse.
Please unite us in prayer and action so that God can avert the catastrophe which is increasingly in the making. Humanity just survived the COVID-19 carnage and needs peace to grow. An immediate ceasefire in the Ukraine conflict, which Russia appears willing to, can be realised by your collective intervention. A return to a peaceful negotiated settlement is necessary in these circumstances where there cannot be any winners from war. We all owe it to our dead souls, to our ancestors, to our loved ones who brought us into this world together and gave us life through the guiding hand of God.
I sincerely hope that, collectively, you can do your best urgently to bring the elusive peace back to mankind.
May The Lord bless our souls.
Respectfully and sincerely yours,
Pascal Najadi

End Quote
Mr Najadi’s first letter to Pope Francis has been delivered to the Holy Sea on 10th November 2022.
It will be interesting to see the reactions from the World’s religious leaders, especially after the presumable false flag attack from Ukrainian partisans on Poland earlier this week which could very easily had triggered WW III by direct NATO-involvement by invoking Article 5 of the North Atlantic Pact.
