Neoliberalism at it’s End

Comparison of mortality rate of the countries hit worst by Covid-19.  It is striking that countries that are adhering most to Neoliberalism and harsh austerity rules are most severely hit.

Jon Hellevig, an economic analyst based in Moscow, put together a quite useful comparison.

He took a group of countries among the hardest hit by CV19 and compared their death rates. A very interesting pattern emerges.

It appears to me that countries who have embraced neoliberalism and have endured aggressive austerity programs now suffer radically higher death rates among their patients.
